The St. Charles Coal Miners’ Memorial Wall is located in St. Charles, Lee County, Virginia. It consists of a large, red brick wall with inscriptions on each brick. These inscriptions include the names of miners who died on the job in St. Charles, residents of St. Charles, organizations, and many messages to and from the town. The residents and organizations represented on the bricks helped to pay for the memorial. At the center of the wall is a plaque that reads, ‘In memory and appreciation to all coal miners that worked in St. Charles coal fields.’
